PRESS

Annie Wong, aka Headexplodie, is a dynamic mixed-media artist recognized for creating vibrant eye candy through sculptures, illustrations, and stop-motion animations. Infused with playful fun and a touch of teenage rebellion, her work reflects the quirky perspective born out of her second-generation Chinese-American upbringing in South Texas.

With clients like Adult Swim, Creative Mornings, The New York Times, and The Greater Good Science Center, Annie engages audiences not only as a compelling public speaker on compassion and the therapeutic power of fun but also as an artist weaving narratives that explore themes of emotions and interconnectedness in her eclectic journey.

Pee-Wee Herman once told her she was very talented and she’s been riding high on that achievement ever since then.

If you’d like to know more about her creative process and why she loves GIFs, check out her talk for CreativeMornings Oakland!
